Alena Energy introduces the Akila platform – The optimal solution for sustainable green businesses

A greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory involves collecting information and data on sources of GHG emissions, calculating GHG emissions and absorption within a specified scope and a particular year, following methods and processes issued by authorized agencies.

According to the law, businesses must conduct GHG inventories based on the following regulations: Law No. 72/2020/QH14 – Law on Environmental Protection dated November 17, 2020; Decree No. 06/2022/ND-CP dated January 7, 2022, by the Government on the regulation of GHG emission reduction and ozone layer protection; Decision No. 01/2022/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2022, by the Prime Minister, issuing the list of sectors and facilities required to conduct GHG inventories; Decision No. 01/2023/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister, mandating 1,912 business facilities to carry out GHG inventories. From 2024 onwards, businesses will organize GHG inventories biennially and submit them to the provincial People’s Committee for validation before sending them to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. In today’s global economy, compliance with the requirements of countries and regions where businesses export their products, including conducting GHG inventories and reporting GHG emissions per unit of product, has become mandatory. This ensures fair competition among manufacturing businesses and contributes to environmental protection.

Alena Energy utilizes the Akila platform solution to provide customers with numerous advantages, simplifying and enhancing the efficiency of the GHG inventory process. Compared to other software, the Akila platform automates many stages of the GHG inventory process, including data collection, emission calculations, and report generation. The platform integrates data from various sources, including energy measurement systems, energy usage invoices, and supply chain data, saving time and effort for employees and providing users with a comprehensive overview of the business’s GHG emissions. Moreover, the Akila platform has an intuitive user interface, making it easier for employees at all levels to access and use. It offers visual tools such as charts, tables, and maps to help users easily observe and analyze data during the GHG inventory process, allowing businesses to develop emission reduction plans and improve energy efficiency in their production activities.

The Akila platform helps businesses save costs associated with manual GHG inventories, uses internationally accepted GHG inventory calculation methods to ensure data accuracy and reliability, and is audited by reputable third parties to ensure transparency, minimizing risks associated with inaccurate inventory report data. This enhances the business’s credibility with stakeholders, clearly demonstrating the company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility, contributing to global efforts to mitigate climate change and protect the planet.

Overall, the Akila platform solution provided by Alena Energy simplifies the GHG inventory process, reduces costs, minimizes risks, supports sustainable business development, and prepares businesses for the allocation of GHG emission quotas from 2026 to 2030 and in subsequent years.
