ICONICS has been awarded the Microsoft Partner of the Year title seven times and has been recognized eleven times for the Microsoft Partner of the Year award.
ICONICS officially became a member of Mitsubishi in 2019.
Established over three decades ago, ICONICS develops and provides software for visualization, HMI, SCADA, and energy solutions to automate, monitor, control, and optimize critical assets. ICONICS’ advanced software serves various business sectors such as manufacturing, industrial automation, and building construction, along with public infrastructure.
Key highlights of ICONICS are demonstrated through the following six aspects:
Software Architecture: The foundation of ICONICS can handle and aggregate data, providing security features, language aliasing, and other capabilities. Servers in our architecture transform data into meaningful information and offer features like scheduling, data storage, alarms, fault diagnostics, workflows, and more. Clients allow users to interact with data on any platform, whether it’s a desktop computer, a phone, or a watch. Integration across the entire architecture drives engineering efficiency with consistency and reusability.
Commitment to Industry Standards: ICONICS’ architecture is scalable and supports applications running from the edge to the cloud. With universal connectivity, the software can read data from various sources. Additionally, ICONICS has been involved with and contributed to the OPC Foundation since its inception, participating at the board level longer than any other company. ICONICS supports standards like BACnet, BACnet SC, MQTT/Sparkplug B, and many more.
Continuous Innovation and Validation: ICONICS is a proven innovator with a track record of achievements. For instance, ICONICS was a founding member of the OPC Foundation and was the first to introduce a 64-bit SCADA application. ICONICS pioneered multi-touch support back in 2009, before the advent of the iPad. We developed a natural user interface based on Microsoft Kinect and added support for voice commands when voice assistants like “Alexa” were just emerging. ICONICS was also the first automation company to adopt Azure Digital Twins. As a testament to our innovative spirit and product excellence, ICONICS is frequently recognized within the industry. For example, we have been awarded Microsoft Partner of the Year ten times and have received the Engineers’ Choice award for many of our products from Control Engineering magazine. Additionally, ICONICS has been honored with awards from Start, Control magazine, Plant Engineering, and the Environmental Business Journal.
Platform Extensibility: ICONICS’ platform extensibility operates at multiple levels. Whether you require custom connectivity to an obscure data source or a tailored calculation that can be historized or used as an alarm condition, we support both. Almost anything can be achieved with ICONICS’ standard products through simple expressions.
Commitment to Building a Better World: ICONICS consistently contributes to sustainability efforts by designing and developing software solutions focused on operational efficiency to reduce energy consumption. We have been twice recognized as the “Microsoft Sustainability Partner of the Year” for our development of energy management analysis tools. Most recently, ICONICS has committed to participating in Mitsubishi Electric’s Greater Than initiative to become a better company, empower larger communities, and realize a greater world.
ICONICS’ Team and Partners: Throughout our history, the ICONICS team has proven to be an incredibly capable and creative group. We recognize that having a community to advance automation and digital transformation and keep businesses on track with their digital journeys in smart factories, buildings, and processes is essential. Our community comprises distributors, system integrators, technical partners, and fellow colleagues from Mitsubishi Electric.
